We have just spent a fantastic holiday staying at the Grand Hotel De La Ville in Sorrento. All the previous good reports about this hotel are true. We had an excellent corner room looking across the bay of Naples, towards Vesuvius. The rooms was maintained spectacularly clean.
The food is exceptional and dining is made for enjoyable by the good humoured and professional service of Enzo and his team.
An enjoyable stay and a hotel we would have no hesitation in recommending or visiting again.

It is difficult to know where to start since this has been one of the best and happiest holidays we have ever had.
Despite staying in many hotels this has the most friendly staff and from stat to finish Enzo and his team went out of their way to satisfy our every need.
The hotel is very well situated, about 5 minutes walk from the fantastic shops, yet far enough away to ensure a good nightly sleep.
We would highly recommend both the hotel and the resort to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday.
The last evening ( Thursday ) was particularly good with the dining room almost becoming a sing-along with the mandolin player who seemed to be able to play tunes from every country.

We have been visiting the De La ville for 15 years.
The Hotel is first rate, comfortable and well positioned in Sorrento.
All of the staff are professional, friendly, helpful and at all times courteous.
The restaurant is well managed and very efficiently. The had Chef and his staff produce fine food and varied menus.
The bar staff are firendly, efficient and is a heaven for tired "walkers"!.
The rooms are always spotlessly clean and kept tidy by the maids daily.
Last but not least reception are always there to help you with anything at any time with a ready smile
This is truly a hotel to visit and enjoy being pampered - but we aware you will not want to go home! |

From our arrival at the Grand Hotel De La Ville, in Sorrento, after midnight, several hours delayed, the byword was "welcome". Despite the late hour, a cold plated and refreshing meal, awaited us in our lovely, spacious room.
The food has been consistently excellent. Enzo and his restaurant team continue to achieve an air of relaxing dining, building a raport with all his guests, whilst running the dining room in a pleasing and organised manner.
The hotel is extremely well kept, clean and well manatained with a pretty garden and terrace, with beautiful sea view.
All the staff in the Hotel, are friendly and helpful, mantaining the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. |

In the main we found the Hotel to be of a very high standard. We had booked a standard room, however this was enhanced to a large mare superior room with lovely furniture and fittings, together with a large bathroom. An improvement could have been made via an electric point, for hair dryer in the room, this was only available in the bathroom.
All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and clearly very able in their particular occupations.
The restaurant was excellent in all aspects.
The food, its presentation and service were outstanding. The head waiter and his staff, always very smartly attired; make a credit to the Hotel, employing friendly helpful and very efficient dining in superb surroundings. |
