The Hotel De La Ville is not only elegant in style but the staff are second to none in making you feel welcome and they attend to your every need.
The choice of food is superb and the quality is deliciously Italian. In the dining room, as in the rest of the Hotel, the staff are efficient, professional and courteous.
I can understand why many of the residents have returned year after year.
One of the most memorable experiences was that of standing on the roof terrace viewing the beautiful sea view in the early morning sun. Superb!.
The Hotel is ideally placed for the station and Piazza Tasso, where shopping begins.
Overall we are so pleased we choose this fantastic hotel and that we have had the opportunity to meet such fabulous Italian people. We hope we can return soon!. |

We have stayed at the Grand Hotel De La Ville on half board for the weeks during July 2006. Apart from a 5 day mini break it is both our first stay in Italy. The Hotel accommodation has been fantastic, the maid service excellent and the bar and the reception staff very polite and friendly as well as efficient. The heart of this hotel is the Restaurant, we have never stayed anywhere quite like it!! We travel regularly both in the Uk & Europe and we eat out frequently at home, but the restaurant staff " make " the evening.
They are professional, courteous, funny and entertaining and this continues day after day which cannot be easy. We will be sad to leave Italy, not only because of this beautiful area but because we will leave behind friends. |

We have visited many places in Europe including Malta, Majorca, Ibiza and Portugal. This is our first visit to Italy. Our Stay at the Hotel De La Ville has been one of our best holidays, having stayed at many four and five star hotels. The hotel is well placed in Sorrento near to the main square but not a lot of noise and a wonderful view over the bay of Naples from our balcony.
Hotel staff are warm, very friendly and highly efficient. No request is ignored and they will endeavour to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. The dining room staff are highly efficient and are managed by the Maitre D'Hotel Enzo who looks after his guests with warmth and with an excellent sense of humour. The food is highly recommended both in the main dining room, which is waiter service in the evening and the lunches in the garden area second to none including the price. Bar service in the la magnolia bar, the garden area and the 6th floor roof terrace is first class.
Reception staff are very courteous and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms, especially the sea view rooms, are bright and airy. The maids are very friendly and ensure high standards of cleanliness both in the rooms and throughout the hotel.
We rate this hotel very highly and would have no hesitation in returning and would recommend the hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Sorrento. |

We both arrived at the Hotel De La Ville on 22/09/06.
Our immediate impression was very good - courtesy at reception and the excellent porter.
The room was very clean, excellently equipped - very impressive.
We had our first lunch at the snack bar, where the waiters made us feel welcome immediately. We have had most contact with the restaurant staff and they have been brilliant - very friendly, immediate service and willing to satisfy any requirements, for example special food, etc.
The hotel is well located close to the main shopping area and marina. Overall the meals were very good and service excellent.
Our stay has been very enjoyable and we would recommend the hotel as an excellent choice for a superb holiday in a beautiful part of Italy. |

We have travelled Noth Amrica and Europe. This was our first visit to Italy. Our stay at the Hotel De La Ville has been a memorable one for all the right reasons. The hotel is well placed in Sorrento with impressive views across the bay of Naples. Town square is within easy walking distance with no hills to climb.
Hotel staff are warm, friendly, efficient and determined to make your stay a pleasant, relaxing experience. The dining room is managed by Maitre D' Enzo who greets guests with warmth and good humour and makes sure that his staff are courteous and efficient. Food is varied and of excellent standard both in the main dining room, the L'Altea Restaurant, and the less formal garden snack barbecue, where delicious, lunches are available at very reasonable and competitive prices. Bar service in La Magnolia Bar, the garden and the panoramic 6th floor roof terrace is also first class and a good selection of cocktails is available.
Reception staff are very helpful and deal quickly and courteously with any problems which arise. Rooms are bright, well decorated and furnished. The maids are friendly and ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the hotel, garden and pool areas.
It is evident that all the staff we met during our stay at the hotel De La Ville place great importance on ensuring that high standards of comfort, care, good food and needs of guests are met.
For us this hotel rates highly amongst the many we have stayed in and we would confidently recommend it to anyone who visits Sorrento. |
